도 [ do ]
도 means ‘to give (something) to me’. It is 줘 [ jwo ] in standard Korean, a derivative of 주다 [ juda ]. 주라 means ‘to give (something) to (somebody)’. it is 주어라 [ jueora ] or 줘라 [ jwora ] in standard Korean. 주라 can be used instead of 도, but 도 cannot be used instead of 주라.
ex)
그거 도. (Give it to me.) 물 좀 도. (Give me some water.)
그거 (나) 주라. (Give it to me.) Jane에게 물 좀 주라. (Give some water to Jane.)
도 and 주라 are very casual expressions and only used between friends or to younger people. 줘요 [ jwoyo ] or 주세요 [ juseyo ] is used to be polite.
도 and 주라 can be used in the similar way as an auxiliary verb 주세요.
ex)
전화 좀 해도. (Call me, please.) 저거 사주라. (Buy that for me, please.)
Jane에게 전화 해주라. (I think you should call Jane.)
저거 Jane 사주라. (I think buying that for Jane is a good idea.)
