광클 [ gwangkeul ]

광 in 광클 means ‘crazy’ or ‘craziness’, and 클 is from 클릭 (click). 광클 refers to ‘the action of clicking a mouse very quickly or crazily‘.

ex)

A) 이 콘서트 티켓 어떻게 구했어?  (How did you get the tickets to this concert?)  B) 내가 광클 좀 했지. (I did some 광클. / I worked so hard on the ticketing website.)

A) 왜 갑자기 000가 검색순위에 오르지?  (Why 000 is suddenly on the search list?)   B) 팬들이 광클하나?  (Not sure, but I guess his fans are doing 광클. / I guess his fans are clicking his name on the Internet a lot.)

• If someone says { noun + 광 }, 광 means ‘a big fan of something’ or ‘a buff’. (광 has many different meanings including ‘ray’ or ‘light’, so this rule is not always applicable.)

ex)

나는 영화광입니다.  (I am a big fan of movies.)

저 친구 여행광이야.  (He is a fan of traveling.)

그녀는 야구광이야.  (She is crazy about baseball and she knows everything about it.)
