Banyeo 2-dong Market in Busan will host a three-day autumn festival from September 3 to 5, combining food, beer, performances and discounts aimed at attracting more visitors to the traditional market.
The 2026 Banhallmaek Festival will transform the market’s central street into an evening beer area with tables and lighting. Visitors who purchase at least 5,000 won worth of food from market vendors can receive a free beer coupon.
Entertainment will include a singing contest, a beer-themed competition and busking performances.
Shoppers can also receive up to 10,000 won in discount coupons per day on a first-come, first-served basis. Customers spending at least 5,000 won can enter prize events, including a drawing for 50,000 won in Onnuri gift certificates.
Empty storefronts will be used for a temporary “Youth Street,” featuring a retro photo studio and flea market with participation from university students and young adults.
