Bokcheon Museum announced that it would temporarily open Historic Site No. 273 Bokcheon-dong Ancient Tombs from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on February 19th, and hold an event to ‘make and fly a kite to pray for overcoming COVID-19’.
This event was prepared to infuse small vitality into the daily lives of citizens by opening a place for cultural experiences where families can enjoy traditional games together amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Participants can make a creative kite in the lecture room under the guidance of Jijang Bae Mu-sam, Busan Metropolitan City Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 21.
It is expected that it will be a good opportunity for families to enjoy kite flying, which is not easily enjoyed in the city center, and to have time to harmonize with each other while making various creative kites together.
Applications for participation will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the website of the Bokcheon Museum from the 9th to the 16th. 50 families of kindergarteners or elementary school students can participate, and the participation fee is free.
An official from the Bokcheon Museum said, “I hope you can fly a kite you made yourself in the open tombs away from the busy city center, have a good time with your family, and receive good energy from the Bokcheon-dong tombs.”
