Voted one of the best festivals in Korea by CNN Travel, Samgwangsa’s Temple Lantern Festival lights up the night skies with up to three million lanterns.
Attracting over a million visitors each year, it’s a spectacle to be seen with the serenity of the temple meeting the throngs of onlookers all ready to get that special photo in.
According to the Visit Korea website, “The lanterns bear hope and sincere love toward Buddha and create spectacular views as the wave of lanterns lightens the dark sky with their brilliant colors”.
