Busan Destinations: Swimming at the Trendy Hwamyeong Ecological Park

Hwamyeong Ecological Park in Buk-gu has become one of the newest trendy areas for a summer swim and good eats.

Buk-gu officially opened the swimming pool on the 15th and will run until the end of August.

Opened in 2012, the park offers four pools — a large 2,500 square meter adult pool, an infant pool, and two smaller pools.

This year, a food truck zone has also been added with 200 tables to enjoy your meal. Japanese, Italian, Mexican and Korean choices are available according to the district.

The food truck zone will also stay open until 10 p.m. each night.

A science park for kids, remote controlled cars and boats and DJ parties are also set to happen at the park this year.

The swimming zone is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
