Busan Falls Out of Top Ten in World MICE City Rankings

Busan has been pushed out of the top ten spots in the world MICE cities ranking. MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions.

In the Union of International Association ranking, Busan came in twelfth place in the world for 2018, and ranked fourth in Asia.

Busan’s global ranking went down five places compared to 2017, though experts say that this drop was expected.

The criteria for global conference hosting cities include accessibility, hosting venue, and tourism resources, but Busan does not have a 24-hour airport.

The top-three MICE cities rankings went to Singapore, Brussels, Belgium and Seoul.
