Busan Introduces New Three Door Buses on Bus Numbers 20, 24 and 27

Starting yesterday, the city of Busan is using three new large low-floor buses on three routes.

The three routes include bus numbers 20 and 24 between Yongho-dong and Seomyeon and 27 between Yongho-dong and Cheungmu-dong.

These routes are frequented by commuting passengers as well as students of Kyungsung University and Pukyong University.

The large low-floor buses are 12 meters long, 1.1 meters longer than regular buses and can carry up to 90 people.

With three doors, the new buses are expected to reduce congestion while getting on and off the bus.

The buses tilt toward the ground helping elderly and wheelchairs to easily get on and off and each bus can carry up to 2 wheelchairs or 4 strollers.
