Busan will waive tolls on eight paid roads and temporarily increase Dongbaekjeon cashback to 15% during the Chuseok holiday as part of a package of measures for the four-day break.
The increased cashback rate will apply from September 24 to 27, with additional prize draws and QR coupon promotions planned. Sixty-eight traditional markets selling agricultural, livestock and seafood products will also offer Onnuri gift certificate refund promotions.
Tolls on eight paid roads across Busan will be waived during the holiday, while intercity and express buses and trains will add an average of 200 services per day to accommodate increased travel.
Museums and art galleries will offer holiday programs, along with events at Yongdusan Park and Taejongdae and a special opening of Domoheon.
Busan will also maintain emergency services throughout the holiday. Thirty-eight emergency medical institutions will provide 24-hour treatment, while the city will operate an emergency medical situation room.
More than 13,000 city and district employees will be assigned to holiday operations covering disaster response, health care, transportation, environmental services, water supply and fire safety.
