Busan Police Rescue Man Who Sat On A Hotel Veranda for Five Hours in Gupo

A man in his 30s was rescued by police after sitting on a hotel veranda for five hours Monday morning.

In the bizarre story, the man contacted the Buk-gu police and said he was being threatened at 4:55 am at a hotel in Gupo-dong.

When the police arrived, the man was sitting on the veranda and asking the police to call his mother in the countryside.

The man continued to sit for hours while police installed air mats and negotiated with him.

The scene finally ended at 10 am when a group of police commandos descended from the roof and kicked the man back into his room.

An investigation into threats and charges are still pending.
