Busan Sets Up Emergency Medical System for Chuseok Holidays

The city of Busan has announced special emergency medical measures from September 24 to September 27 to minimize inconvenience for citizens during the Chuseok holiday period.

Measures include operating hospitals and pharmacies across all districts, maintaining 24-hour emergency systems, providing selective outpatient treatment, and ensuring emergency maternal and neonatal care.

District-by-district lists of open hospitals and duty pharmacies are available for each day of the holiday period β€” September 24 (Thursday), September 25 (Friday), September 26 (Saturday), and September 27 (Sunday) β€” on the Busan Metropolitan City website. Hours may vary by institution, so the city advises calling ahead before visiting.

Please note that the hospital and pharmacy listings on the Busan city website are provided in Korean only. For English-language assistance, the numbers below are your best starting point.

Information on open hospitals and pharmacies is also available through the Health and Welfare Call Center (129), the 119 Comprehensive Situation Room (119), local public health centers, the Emergency Medical Portal (www.e-gen.or.kr), and the Emergency Smart app.
