Busan’s Mayor Fighting Back Over Allegations of Sexual Harassment and Illegal Campaign Funds

Busan Mayor Oh Keo-don is taking strong legal action against an online media channel that raised allegations of sexual harassment and illegal campaign funds against him.

Mayor Oh revealed through a press release today that he filed a complaint to the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency against a YouTube Channel for defamation by spreading false, baseless information.

Mayor Oh added that he will form a large team of lawyers and take all possible legal responses including civil damage claims.

A city official said unfounded false information is defaming the mayor and city in addition to diminishing trust.

Adding that the city plans to take all possible legal measures to respond to the fake news.
