Business Caught Selling Dog Meat Illegally in Busan

Only after four months since one of the largest dog markets in Busan closed down, a business was caught selling dog meat.

According to animal protection groups and Buk-gu Office, a video of a business selling meat suspected to be dog meat was posted on social media in mid-October.

After fact-checking, the Buk-gu ward office said “the employee sold the remaining inventory” of the particular business in question.

This incident has sparked controversy against the ward-office, especially as the business has been receiving monthly support subsidy of 3.13 million won to aid in switching their business product items.
