Almost a Foot of Rain Hits Busan Over the Weekend

BUSAN, South Korea - If you're wondering just how much rain we got over the weekend, wonder no more - 293.5mm. Busan was hit hardest by the monsoon that swept across the peninsula over the weekend, as almost a foot of rain fell over the two day period.

The hardest rains brought 80.5mm per hour during the storms, the third highest total ever recorded.

The rains shut more than 30 streets and resulted in the cancelation of 35 flights from Busan's Gimhae International Airport according to Arirang News.

More rains are expected to hit Busan tomorrow and for the rest of the week, as Typhoon Khanun moves over Korea after slamming Eastern China earlier this weekend.
