Charles H Makes World’s Best 100 Bars List

Dante, the Italian-style aperitivo bar in New York, was been awarded The World’s Best Bar Award, sponsored by Perrier, at The World’s 50 Best Bars 2019.

This year’s list and award winners were announced at a sparkling evening as the ceremony returned to iconic London venue, the Roundhouse.

Asia continues to have an impressive presence on the list with a total of 13 bars from China, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore. Of these, five bars feature in the top 20 including China’s The Old Man (No.9) and Japan’s High Five (No.18).

Korea’s Charles H came in at #83 on the list, which is located at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul.

William Drew, Director of Content for The World’s 50 Best Bars, said: “Huge congratulations to all bars that have been included on this year’s list. We’re ecstatic that so many key figures from the cocktail world have traveled across the globe to attend the awards and join the celebrations. This list is a reflection of the open and diverse nature of the international bar scene today.

“The aim of The World’s 50 Best Bars is to provide the authoritative guide on the best bar destinations from around the world and the huge range of countries featured is testament to the strength of competition for a place at the top.”

The World’s 50 Best Bars is part of the 50 Best family, which includes The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, continuing to change the geography of gastronomy over the past 17 years.
