KORAIL will begin accepting reservations for 2026 Chuseok holiday train tickets on September 3, with bookings available online through the Korail+ mobile app and the KORAIL website.
Tickets cover travel between September 23 and 27.
Priority booking for seniors aged 65 and older, people with disabilities, pregnant women, and national merit recipients will take place on September 3 and 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Reservations can also be made by phone through the Korail Customer Center (1544-8545).
General ticket sales will run from September 7 to 11, between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with booking dates divided by train type and route:
September 7: All conventional trains, including ITX-Saemaeul, ITX-Maum, and Mugunghwa services.
September 8: KTX services on the Gyeongjeon, Gangneung, Donghae, Jungang, and Jungbu Naeryuk lines.
September 9: KTX services on the Honam and Jeolla lines.
September 10: KTX services departing from or arriving at Suseo Station on the Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, Donghae, Honam, and Jeolla lines.
September 11: Gyeongbu Line KTX services departing from or arriving at Seoul Station.
Each passenger may purchase up to 12 tickets, with a limit of six tickets per transaction.
Payment opens on September 12. Tickets not paid for by the deadline will be automatically canceled. General bookings must be paid by September 15, while priority bookings for eligible passengers must be completed by September 18.
Any remaining seats will go on sale beginning at 3:00 p.m. on September 11.
Passengers should also note that SR members planning to book SRT services will need to complete the required integrated membership transition ahead of the planned railway operator merger later in September.
