Four areas of policies to improve the livelihood of citizens will be implemented in Busan.

Busan city announced policies Thursday that encompasses welfare, safety, health, and life.

They include, for the first time, free influenza vaccination for pregnant women, and energy bill reduction policies.

The city also said they will expand the installation of heated chairs at bus stops, emergency welfare support, increasing job opportunities for people with disabilities, strengthening measures to reduce localized fine dust, and expanding the targets for those eligible for “energy voucher” policy.

Energy voucher is a financial support system for select social groups so that they can pay fees for electricity, city gas, LPG, kerosene, district heating, and briquettes.
