In the midst of a cold wave that hit the entire nation yesterday, the morning low in Busan reached under freezing.
According to the Busan Regional Office of Meteorology, the morning lows in the Busan areas ranged from -2’C to 0’C, including -2.4’C in Yeongdo, -0.5’C in Saha and -0.1’C in Gijang County.
An official from the weather agency said the temperatures are expected to drop, as cold air from Northwest comes in and wind speeds pick up in the afternoon.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop sharply from Thursday. Busan is forecast to reach -6″C degrees with a high of 2’C in the day, and Friday is forecast for a low of -8’C.
Most areas in Gyeongnam, including Ulsan and Changwon, will fall below -6’C degrees from the 11th.
The agency forecasted that the temperatures will return to average on the 14th.
