Don’t Miss Out on “Drag Prom 2019: Heroes and Villians!” This Saturday Night

June is LGBTQ+ month around the world and the community celebrates in style with the 8th edition of the Busan Drag Prom.

One of the biggest social events of the summer returns for its 8th installment of the biggest and brightest LGBTQ+ event in Busan.

The Busan Drag Prom Committee is moving locations this year to Oz Hall in Seomyeon.

The annual charity event actively looks to raise awareness and support for the LGBTQ+ community in Busan, Korea and worldwide. All the money raised through donations go to ISHAP (a clinic offering free and confidential HIV testing, youth counseling, and education services amongst other things), Dding ddong (Korea’s only LGBTQI youth shelter), and ISHAP HIV and AIDS testing and LGBTQ+ counseling center in Busan.

What to expect

Door open at 9, and they’ll have two sets of live drag and burlesque performances from Busan and Korea’s sexiest heroes and naughtiest villains.

Entry is 10,000 won which includes a free drink.

As always, there’s no pressure to dress up or drag it up — heroes and villains take many forms — so feel free to interpret that theme any way you choose. Just come however you feel comfortable, Prom is a place where all labels are left at the door.
