Drunk Driver Leads Police on 50km Chase With Speeds Up to 190km/hr


A 22-year-old was arrested yesterday after leading police on a 50km chase from Busan to Yangsan.

According to local media, the man drank alcohol near the Dongrae subway station and tried to drive home to Yangsan at around 5:53 a.m.

However, police had set up a drunk driving check 50 meters past the tollbooth which he passed through though he sped off past the checkpoint.

The driver then led police on a 50-kilometer chase with speeds up to 190 km/hr before finally being arrested in a residential area of Yangsan.

The driver’s blood alcohol level was 0.122%.

Multiple charges are currently pending.
