Drunk Man’s False Fire Report Nets Him 1 Million Won Fine

Busan’s Saha Fire Station decided to impose a fine of 1 million won on a 52-year-old man who made a drunk call to the fire station and issuing a false report about a fire at his house.

Kim is accused of making a false report to the 119 Call Center about a fire having broken out at his house in Gwae-jeong-dong at 2:30 am on the 8th, which led to 14 fire trucks and 50 firefighters having to go to the site.

When the fire fighters arrived to no fire, they found Kim passed out in his house and had him arrested.

Emergency organizations have taken to social media to remind the public about making false 119 reports.
