Eat Like a Local: Choose Your Own Cocktail Shooters at 61224 in Haeundae

Take a break from the ordinary bar scene and head on out for a night of shooters at 61224 just a stone's throw from the beach.

Within walking distance from Haeundae beach, 61224 is the first and only shooter bar chain in Korea and the sole location in Busan.

Dozen (12 shooters, 29,000 won), french fries (8,000 won), and buffalo wings (12,000 won)

The name 61224 (half, dozen, double) plays off the notion that if you have 6 shooters, you feel a little drunk, 12, you are drunk, and if 24, you are very drunk. Their clever logo shows the number 6 in their sign in the normal direction, and 24 in the sign is upside-down.

The fun part of this bar is that you can make your own selections of 30ml cocktail shooters from the list. If you’re not quite sure what you are in the mood for, they have recommended versions by categories — strong, sweet and sour, and all mixed.

Double (24 shooters, 57,000 won) and Mix bowl (5,000 won)

It was so much fun to try out all the different tastes they concocted. The mixed snack bowl consisting of jellies, chocolate covered nuts, a soft pretzel and marshmallows was an excellent anju to pair with the shooters.

Play games and darts with friends while drinking.

Bottles, including Bombay, Jagermeister, Jack Daniel’s, and X-rated are available for around 100,000 won to 140,000 won. Shots and five kinds of beer are available from 4,000 won to 7,000 won.

Seven kinds of standard pub grub are additionally served from between 5,000 won to 12,000 won.

The atmosphere is a bit dark and cozy and the space is also available to rent for parties. There is now a promotion of unlimited shooters for 90 minutes for 19,800 won per person to celebrate its one year anniversary.

It’s located inside the complex of the Seacloud Hotel.
