Update: 3:45 p.m. — Another emergency text alert was sent a quarter after 2 pm from local authorities advising people to cook chicken or duck meat at temperature of 70 degrees celsius or higher for 30 minutes or longer to prevent any Avian Bird Flu pathogen complications.
Several Emergency Alert messages on your phone this morning were dealing with the recent outbreak in Busan of Avian Influenza.
The messages have been sent to registered phone users in Korea sent by Ulsan City Hall and Gijang County, warning any customers who have bought livestocks including chicken and duck after May the 27th, to report their purchases to Animal Hygiene Laboratory.
This follows the recent outbreak of highly pathogenic Avian Influenza that have hit South GyeongSang province and Busan.
