First Winter Ice Appears in Busan as Temps Fall Below Zero

Busan has observed its first ice this winter as nighttime temperatures hovered around freezing.
The Busan Regional Meteorological Administration said that ice came four days earlier than last year, and 14 days later than average.
The morning temperature measured at the official observatory in Daechung-dong was 0.3’C at 6 am yesterday morning.
Other regions in Busan recorded -3’C in Geumjeong-gu, -2’C in Haeundae, and -0.8’C degrees celsius in Gijang.
An official from the weather agency said light winds will lower the perceived temperature.
The official added that temperatures will recover to warmer lows starting from today and advised citizens to take care of their health.
