POSCO E&C announced this week that it completed the framework construction of the 411.6-meter Landmark Haeundae LCT The Sharp tower.
The second tallest building in Korea after Lotte World Tower in Seoul took 1,272 days to complete after breaking ground on October 1, 2015.
LCT aims to be completed by the end of November this year. In addition to the frame construction, the interior construction work for apartments, residence hotels, and shopping malls were carried out at the same time.
The exterior of the buildings are expected to be 100% complete by the end of May.
The two residential towers consist of 85 floors and 882 households are 339m and 333m respectively.
The 101 floor Landmark Tower will have 561 rooms in the residence hotel and 260 rooms at the 6-star hotel operated by Lotte Hotel.
Additionally, Haeundae-gu office will build a 125-meter road expansion project at the intersection between Mipo 5 junction and Mipo Beach crossing and a small-sized park will be built behind the towers.
The construction of a large bus parking lot for visitors is also in the works.
Total cost of the project is estimated at 3 trillion won.
