Gimhae Int’l Airport to Scrap Moving Walkway for Food Court

Gimhae Int’l Airport will remove its hardly used moving walk for an 80 seat food court.

The 70 meter walkway, which was built last year as part of its first expansion, cost 200 million won though was hardly used because it was installed near the wall and not in the center of the airport, rendering it mainly useless.

The new food court facility, which is badly needed due to a lack of food and beverage options once you pass immigration, is to be run by CJ Freshway, which won the bid to construct the food court in August.

No date is yet set for the opening.
