The 20th Hamyang Ginseng Festival will take place from September 18 to 22 at Sangrim Park in Hamyang-eup.
Under the slogan “Fall in love with Hamyang and fall in love with ginseng,” the festival will feature a range of health and healing-themed programs.
Marking its 20th anniversary, this year’s event promises expanded and more engaging content.
Highlights include the popular “Ginseng Digging Experience,” where visitors can harvest five-year-old ginseng directly from local fields, and the family-friendly “Find the Golden Ginseng” treasure hunt, with a prize of pure gold.
Visitors can purchase wild ginseng directly from farmers at the sales zone, while the “Receipt Payback” program will offer Hamyang Love Gift Certificates based on purchase amounts.
A 500-seat food hall, featuring a new corner for grilling Jirisan black pork, will add to the culinary attractions.
Expanded shade and cooling facilities have also been prepared for visitor comfort.
