A welcome rain is falling today on what is known as Malbok, the end of the hottest time of the year, and the heat has let up.
The Busan Regional Meteorological Administration recorded rainfall totals in Busan and Changwon at 6.5 millimeters and 19.6 millimeters, respectively, as of 6:00AM today.
The rain has mostly stopped, though scattered afternoon showers are expected.
An additional 5 to 20 millimeters has been forecasted.
Temperatures will rise over 30 degrees from tomorrow and with hot weather continuing through the foreseeable future.
