Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Province are expected to see periods of heavy rain through the weekend, while hot and humid conditions will continue between showers.
According to the Busan Meteorological Office, between 30 and 80 millimeters of rain is forecast from early Friday through the evening.
Some areas could see intense downpours exceeding 50 millimeters per hour, accompanied by strong winds, thunder and lightning.
Another 10 to 40 millimeters is expected Saturday, with occasional rain also forecast for Sunday and Monday as a stationary front affects the region.
Despite the rainfall, summer heat is not going away yet. Maximum perceived temperatures are expected to remain around 33°C, with daytime highs of 31°C to 32°C on Friday and 30°C to 32°C on Saturday.
Heatwave warnings remain in effect for several inland areas of South Gyeongsang Province, including Gimhae, Miryang and Jinju, while Busan and Ulsan remain under heat-related advisories.
Tropical nights are also expected to continue, particularly in urban and coastal areas, with overnight temperatures staying above 25°C.
