The Hadong Wild Tea Healing Center has unveiled a newly renovated immersive media art exhibition that blends the area’s natural beauty with its centuries-old tea culture.
Titled “Hadong, the Garden of Tea and Light,” the free exhibition invites visitors to experience Hadong through interactive displays, panoramic projections, and digital art inspired by the region’s landscapes and traditions.
The experience begins with an interactive tea-making display, where visitors can select tea leaves, teacups, and teapots on a touchscreen while watching the brewing process unfold digitally.
The exhibit then transitions into a panoramic presentation of Hadong’s four seasons, featuring many of the county’s best-known attractions, including Geumosan Mountain, Hwagae’s famous Cherry Blossom Road, Uisin Valley, Dongjeong Lake, Hadong Port, Ssanggyesa Temple, Bukcheon’s cosmos flower fields, Pyeongsari Plain, Noryang Bridge, and Samseonggung.
Digital effects such as drifting cherry blossoms, schools of sweetfish, and star-filled skies add an artistic touch to the scenes.
Another section, “Hadong in Color,” reimagines the region through animated ink-wash paintings, using seven color themes to portray Hadong’s landscapes, seasons, and everyday life in a contemporary interpretation of traditional Korean art.
The exhibition was created using photographs contributed by local photographers and cultural experts, highlighting the county’s changing scenery throughout the year.
Located within the Hadong Wild Tea Healing Center, the exhibition is free to visit, requires no reservation, and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Mondays.
