Korea’s First Smart City in Gangseo-gu Begins Construction Today

The country’s first smart city, Gangseo-gu Eco Delta City will begin construction on the from today.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be attended by leaders from the ASEAN countries with demonstrations on cutting edge technological services.
Gangseo-gu Eco Delta City was selected as a national pilot city along with Sejong City
and is planning to be a waterfront cultural leisure city, an ecological city with nature sensibility, and a global future, high-tech city.
With the groundbreaking ceremony, the government is also holding the 2019 ASEAN-ROK smart city Fair at the second exhibition hall of BEXCO from the 25th until the 27th.
