Suyeong District conducted a survey on the public perception of turning Millak Waterside Park into a public cultural space.
According to the survey results, about 65% supported the prohibition of drinking in the area while 35% opposed the idea.
Reasons for support included preventing stench from illegal littering and loud singing by drunk people.
Opposers cited the infringement of personal freedom to drink and difficulty attracting tourists.
