Tensions Rising as Hong Kong and China Football Clubs Set to Face Off Next Week in Busan

Tensions are escalating as football teams of China and Hong Kong are coming up next week for the East Asian Cup tournament in Busan.

The two teams will meet at the Busan Asiad Stadium on the 18th for the ‘2019 EAFF E-1’ cup.

The football tournament which kicked off on Tuesday the 10th and is being held for nine days.

The Korea Football Association is paying close attention to the possible conflict between team supporters amid the stiff China-Hong Kong relationship.

The KFA said it will dispatch a higher than normal amount of personnel and thoroughly inspect items that are being brought into the stadium.

Busan city added it will also dispatch additional manpower to Asiad Main Stadium on the 18th.
