Watch as Large Ship Rams Diamond Bridge in Busan, South Korea

3/1 12:00 a.m. – Update: Portions of Bridge Closed Until Sunday, Ship Captain Reportedly Drunk

A large-size ship slammed into the Gwangan Bridge at 4:15 p.m. this afternoon near Samik Beach in Namcheon and Megamart creating a stir as commute traffic was just picking up at days end.

According to witnesses, the cargo ship went straight from the outer port side to the Gwangan Bridge, causing the accident, but details are still coming in as an investigation gets underway.

Witnesses said that there was a loud roar at the time of the crash.
