Wild boars coming down to residential areas in Busan have been on the rise.
According to the Busan Police, a wild boar was hit by a car on Tuesday night in front of a tunnel in Songjeong.
Not too long before that, at 8:45 p.m., another wild boar was reported in front of a church in Deokpo-dong in Sasang-gu.
The police and fire authorities tracked the boar and found it dead after it had fallen off a cliff.
From the 5th until early this morning, Busan police said they have received 7 reports of wild boar sightings, with 12 wild boars running around city limits.
Usually, wild boars appear in public places, including hiking trails in Busan, when there is no food in the wild between November and February.
