The 2026 Busan Sign Expo will take place at Dasom Hall in Busan Citizens Park from September 16 to 20, highlighting creative outdoor advertising and the changing role of signs in the city’s streetscape.
Now in its 24th year, the event will feature the winning entries from the 2026 Busan Outdoor Advertising Awards, along with a special exhibition tracing how signs and urban design have changed over time.
This year’s top award winners include Park Myung-sik’s Eolssu in the creative model advertising category, which incorporates Korean calligraphy and traditional design elements, and Hong Ga-hee and Jang Ye-dam’s Onsaemiro in the creative design category.
Choi Ye-seong’s Uttuk Chicken won the neighborhood sign drawing category, while Heo Tae-seon’s NYU.MI, inspired by waves and travel in the Mipo area, received the top prize in the beautiful sign category.
The winning works will be displayed at the Dasom Gallery throughout the five-day expo.
The event will also include training for outdoor advertising professionals, with sessions covering design, safety and industry practices.
The opening ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on September 16.
