Busan is thinking about replacing its city slogan, “Busan is Good.” So what do people actually think of it, and what would you put on the banners instead?

In this video, I ask three questions and leave the answers to you.

In this video:

Where “Busan is Good” came from, and what it replaced

What critics, locals and foreign residents say about it

What the Korean version, 부산이라 좋다, really means

Whether a slogan even matters for a city like Busan

What the city says happens next

Simple slogan ideas to get the conversation started

The ideas are not recommendations. They are just starting points, and a real slogan would take far more testing than a YouTube video.

So which one would you pick, or what would you write instead? Leave your idea in the comments, and I will put the best ones in a poll.

THINGS MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO

“Busan is Good” introduced in 2023, replacing “Dynamic Busan” (2004 to 2023)

City explanation: GOOD = Global, Open, Original, Dynamic

Korean version: 부산이라 좋다 (Busan-ira jota)

City branding review planned for 2027, with no decision made yet

Seoul Grand Park is introducing its twin red panda cubs, Maru and Marong, to visitors starting October 14. They are the first red pandas successfully bred naturally in South Korea.

The cubs were born on June 19 and are already walking, climbing trees and starting to explore the outdoor habitat with their mother, Lian. Both now weigh over 1 kilogram and have had their vaccinations.

Quick visiting tip: red pandas are less active during the day, so sightings can’t be guaranteed. Early morning and after 4 p.m. are your best chances.
