The Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival returns to Gyeongnam this October, offering visitors a mix of traditional Korean medicine, wellness experiences and family-friendly entertainment.
The 26th edition of the festival will take place from October 2 to 11 at Donguibogam Village in Sancheong under the theme “Sancheong with Korean Medicine, Becoming the Center of K-Wellness.”
Visitors can explore programs including the Sancheong Hyeminseo traditional medicine experience, personalized wellness activities and the Korean Medicine Wellness Hall. Herbal medicine exhibitions and sales, hands-on activities and educational programs will also take place throughout the festival.
Families visiting on October 3 can catch the 120-minute “Magic Bubble Show,” featuring four different performances. The program includes a bubble show, giant balloon performance, Chinese face-changing show and an interactive magic performance designed to involve the audience.
Recreational activities will also offer visitors opportunities to win local Sancheong products, including mulberry salt.
First held in 2001, the Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival has grown into one of the region’s signature events and has been designated an Honorary Cultural Tourism Festival for 2026–2027.
