Vietnamese Man Arrested in Busan Murder Case

A Vietnamese man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the killing of a Vietnamese woman at a goshi-tel in Busan according to local media reports.

The Busan District Court issued an arrest warrant for the suspect on August 28 on charges of robbery and murder, citing concerns that he could flee.

The incident occurred at around 1:15 a.m. on August 26 in Jung-gu.

According to investigators, the suspect allegedly entered the victim’s residence using the front door password and waited for her to return home.

Police allege that he threatened the woman, a Vietnamese student in her 20s, with a weapon and restrained her hands and mouth with tape.

When she resisted, he allegedly strangled her to death.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing is continuing.
