The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will begin accepting applications for the 2025 Seoul Citizen League.
Open to anyone living or working in Seoul with an interest in community sports, the league offers citizens the chance to participate as amateur athletes across a range of sports.
First launched in 2015, the Seoul Citizen League has welcomed nearly 98,000 participants across 7,901 teams to date.
This year, the city aims to recruit around 10,000 participants, forming a total of 1,345 teams across 11 sports.
These include soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, foot volleyball, futsal, boxing, billiards, yachting, and new for this year, a pilot league for badminton.
Registration is open for eight sports in the current round: baseball, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, foot volleyball, futsal, boxing, and badminton.
Soccer and billiards have already completed recruitment, while yachting will begin its recruitment process separately in the second half of the year.
Competitions will be held over a nine-month period from April to December, with league schedules and participation fees available on the official Seoul Citizen League website at www.sleague.or.kr.
Inquiries can also be made through each sport’s affiliated organization listed on the site.
